Award-winning film director Billy Kent creates memorable characters that make people laugh.
Billy just wrapped his second feature film, HairBrained, starring Brendan Fraser, Alex Wolff, Parker Posey, Julia Garner, Fred Melamed and Austin Pendleton. Billy's first feature The Oh In Ohio (2006) starring Parker Posey, Paul Rudd, Danny DeVito, Heather Graham and Mischa Barton premiered at SXSW and according to The Boston Globe “is one of the sweetest, smartest sex comedies I’ve ever seen.” In addition to SXSW, The Oh in Ohio won the Vail Film Festival, premiered in Europe at the Edinburgh Film Festival, and competed at the Deauville Film Festival. The film was distributed theatrically and on DVD by HBO. Billy's 11 short films have been screened both in the US and internationally. His Five Shorts (1992) won the Monte Carlo Film Festival.
Billy is a graduate of Vassar College and The American Film Institute.
Conrad’s directing work is known for impeccable performances and beautiful cinematography. He is able to handle a wide range of commercial projects and styles but his work is most notable for commercials that feature good actor dialogue and monologue performances filmed with an interesting, graphic look.
He began his ad career as a producer at D’Arcy then moved on to shops Draft Worldwide and J. Walter Thompson. He founded This Is TV in 1998.
The recipient of numerous Telly, Summit and Axiem awards, Conrad is a graduate of the American Film Institute Directing Program and a member of the Directors Guild of America.
